Happy Go Lash - The Body Shop - Mascara
Hello there, how are we? Sorry I haven't posted in a million years! I don't really know why I stopped blogging but with whats going on in the world and spending more time at home the mood has taken me and I want to write, so here goes...
I know I am late to the party on this one but I've been wanting to talk about this product since I picked it up in November.
I know I am late to the party on this one but I've been wanting to talk about this product since I picked it up in November.
I instantly fell in love with the packaging (packaging is a weakness, you could sell me any old tat based on the packaging). The green palm tree leafs against the soft pink just makes me happy, it is right up my street.
Due to the packaging and the idea it was going to make me look like a chilled-back surfing Goddess I was VERY excited to try it.
And oh, how very disappointed I was. I've only worn this product twice, first time I did a full-face of make-up to go out to dinner with a friend and the second time to make sure I wasn't going completely mad. I've read the reviews before buying this product and they all had very positive things so say about it, so why was I having such bad luck with it? Maybe I just got a bad batch?
The actual product is terrible. It does not dry, it clumps together and leaves little black dots on my cheeks. You can see on the second photo how thick and clumpy the solution is. The only good thing about the product (other than the lovely packaging) is the length it gives your lashes - however, this is achievable with other mascaras.
For a product that gives a summery and easy-breezy feel I was under the impression that it would be a very light and subtle lengthening mascara, to enhance the natural look of your lashes.
Tut tut Body Shop, I expected better from you. I think from now on I'll avoid your makeup and stick to your brilliant skincare.
