September Favs.

Hello hello!
As the smell of pumpkin spiced lattes and toffee apples are in the air, it's a sign October is upon us and I thought now would be the perfect time to tell you what I've been loving this month. And don't you dare tell me we still have a week left of September, I'm READY for autumn!

BEAUTY.
As I've been spending a lot of time at home this month, redecorating my bedroom and doing uni work (binge watching Netflix), I've not been wearing much makeup but on the odd day when I do go out I've only worn the bare minimal. I've created this quintet of "goes to" including primer, concealer, two powders and a mascara.

Maybelline's Instant Pore Eraser Primer -- Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer -- Seventeen's Miracle Matte Press Powder -- Benefit's Theyre Real Mascara -- Bourjois's Poudre De Riz De Java

Maybelline's Instant Pore Eraser Primer - Now I'm inexperienced in the world of primers, I've only ever used 2 primers in my lifetime but I'll take my love for this primer to the grave! I feel my skin looks better with it on, smoother, it makes applying makeup better and lasts longer. (Blue packaging).

Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer - Like the Maybelline Primer this is known and loved by many. I've tried a few concealers but this is the one I always go back to. It gives a very good coverage while being light. (The thin tube - down side about this is that the writing rubs off).

Seventeen's Miracle Matte Press Powder - This makes your skin SO soft! and gives you a very good coverage. If you're anything like me and you have alright skin - you don't suffer from too many spots and not too oily then all you need is this, forget foundation! - (Actually I think it would be perfect for people with oily skin!) The only down side to this is that every time I have bought it its broken! - I don't know if my excitement for new make-up breaks it or if it's just prone to break. (Black circle packaging).

Benefit's Theyre Real Mascara - Literally the best mascara I have ever used, you get long curly lashes and no clumping. (The grey mascara tube - I have the mini version).

Bourjois's Poudre De Riz De Java - AT first I only really picked this up because of it's packaging (I'm a sucker for pretty packaging) and the fact that it was the last one there made me think I will regret it if I left someone else have it! I wasn't 100% sure what it was at the time, I just knew I needed it in my life. Bourjois reinvented this from their best selling cult classic from 1879 to celebrate their 150th birthday. This is a glittery white/pink powder and I use it as a highlighter and it gives me perfect glittering check bones - I pefer this to the Soap and Glory Glow All Out Luminizing Face Powder which I actually found disappointing. (The REALLY pretty green packaging - Has it's own photo to show how pretty it truly is).

MEDIA.

youtube.
Something I've really been loving this month is Dodie's (doddleoddle) channel. She makes videos about a lot of different things but her main drive is singing and song writing, which are amazing by the way! (I will link one of my favourite songs she has written below). I love her style of video making because they are honest and raw as she talks about how she is feeling and what she gets up to. Here is her newest (and my fav song) video ''Would you be so kind''.

music.
I have two things that I've been loving this month for music which are Panic! at the Disco and Mac Miller My Favourite Part (feat. Ariana Frande). I really enjoyed Panic! at the Disco when I was in school but I wasn't that keen on the newer stuff. When Suicide Squad came out they covered Bohemian Rhapsody which I loved and wanted to listen to more. I sat down and listen to their albums in order and fell in love with their music, my favourite song of theirs is Nearly Witches.
I can't remember how I found this song but I've been non-stop listening to it to the point where I'm beginning to not like it! I thought I'd include it anyway as it is such a cool song and there is nothing like loving something so much that you begin to hate it. I also really love the artwork.

ART.

This is the part where I do some shameless self promo but only because I am really please with what I have created. I've started back at uni at the end of this month and I've been working on my project theme utopia. I have created a sketch book and a blog to document my work.

I really loved working in my sketchbook when I was in school doing my gcse's and I was very very proud of it but when I got to college I was told that everything I was told to do was wrong, such as paint a back wash on the pages and boarders. I really struggled in college to find a way of working that was good for me but for the first time in four years I have found a way that is simple yet enjoyable. Working in my sketchbook along side of my blog as really given me the extra push to make it into something I want to talk about and do.

If you would like to see more of my work or how I have worked on these pages then please do pop over to my arty blog and facebook page linked below.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I found it a little hard writing this if I'm honest, not because I was trying to force how I felt about these things but because I didn't know how much or how little I should write for these things. I wrote a list of things I've loved this month, some made the cut and others didn't - I didn't want to include too much or things that wouldn't be interesting. Anyway, enough rambling from me, I hope you have enjoyed this post and thank you for reading! xx
