Soap & Glory Makeup Collection
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello there! and Happy New Year!
For Christmas I got some gift vouchers and decided to spend it on one of my greatest loves, makeup.
I have a few bits already from Soap & Glory and they are one of my go to brands for the fact that they do NOT test on animals, and I usually enjoy their products whether is makeup or shower/bath products. I've started a nice little collection of their products and I have a few opinions to express.
I picked up two lipsticks and the Eyes Queen duo. I had previously purchased the Archery pencil and Glow All Out highlighting powder.
With my voucher I picked up two gorgeous lipsticks (Sexy Mother Pucker *chuckles*) in shades Cinnamon Beige and Rougenie. They smell amazing (like coco butter), look amazing on and long lasting, and the packaging THE PACKAGING (I'm a sucker for pretty packaging). The only problem I have with these are the cost. These lipsticks cost £8 each..fine..£8 for 2-3cm of product?
I'm disappointing by how little you get, for the price I think it should be 3-4cm of product.
Has anyone else tried these lipsticks? How do you feel about price to product ratio?
I've been a user of the Supercat liquid eyeliner since forever. I'm pretty loyal when it comes to eyeliners, I find one I like and I stick with it. It does its job and it does it well.
Now for the Thick & Fast Mascara, love at first sight. *Whispers* its better than Benefit's They're Real mascara.
Thick & Fast makes your lashes look naturally longer without the weight or clumpiness that I find They're Real gives, specially when you are trying to layer your mascara. In fact, I think this is probably the best mascara I have ever used, and it's half the price of They're Real.
(The duo came as a free gift when you spend £14 or more on Soap & Glory products at Boots)
Lastly the products I have been using for awhile.
Archery pencil and Glow All Out highlighter. These products are very okay, the pencil works well but I find a brush and shadow works better to fill in my brows, and I think anyone who has pale skin like me can agree that Glow All Out is not a highlighter, well not for us anyway. It is much too pink toned for my skin but it makes a great blusher by adding a soft touch of blush rose, which actually is really pretty on pale skin.
My favourite product from my small collection has to be the Thick and Fast mascara. Let me know what your favourite Soap & Glory product is, I'm always up for trying new things!
Thank you for reading.
