December / New Years Summary | ChitChat

Happy New Year! Who's one for believing in new year/ month/ week/ day = new start?
I never believed in the saying "New year new me" and id hate to sound like a humbug, but you're not going to change with a click of your fingers. You will change with personal growth, which needs time, patients and hard work.

Don't get me wrong I think new years resolutions are great for people who are wanting to make healthier lifestyle choices, join the gym, quit smoking/drinking. Tackling those addictions can be challenging and whatever you can do to get the motivation to start or stop these things are great and deserve a pat on the back.

Back in November I made birthday resolutions instead of making new years ones for 2018 (as I feel it's more personal and reflect more on personal growth). Every month I'd like to make a little monthly summary of these resolutions/goals. I've completed two goals from my list already.

December/ New Years Summary
  • I got another piecing and put in a little sparkly diamond stud.
  • I tried to make up with an old friend but they didn't want the same.
  • On Christmas day 2017 I found out that I can't eat dairy. It doesn't bother me too much as there are loads of yummy foods that I can still eat, apart from cheese pizza which breaks my heart.
  • I'm reading Miranda Hart Is It Just Me? and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
  • I've been going to the gym and swimming a lot more. I've been enjoying taking time out for myself and doing something that would benefit my health rather than just taking some time for myself to watch tv.
  • I found out some news that really hit me hard and I don't know what to do with the anger that's built up from it. Maybe I could channel it into working out at the gym or swimming.

Thanks for reading and see you next week chums.
