Outdated Makeup & Going Cruelty Free

Since going pescetarian roughly a year ago I have become more aware of how animals are treated within the food and beauty industry and I have realised how they are treat is nowhere near good! I now only buy beauty product if they're cruelty free but I still have makeup which isn't, some of that makeup is still good and stuff that I use regally. I'd find it environmentally unethical to throw away makeup that is still good and stuff that I get a lot of use out of but other bits of my makeup I own I have been holding onto since around 3 years ago! Yuck right!? So I'm throwing away my outdated makeup.

I'm not just throwing out my makeup but also going to make a promise to myself that I'm only going to buy makeup if I need it or know that I will get a lot of use out of it, and of course any beauty products I buy will be cruelty free. I put off going out of my own way to by cruelty free for ages because I was worried I wouldn't be able to find the things I needed and I didn't want to give up on my favourite products but it's been fun finding new brands and I feel more comfortable knowing that I'm not putting my money towards a company that harm animals.

I honestly thought Id have a lot more makeup to throw away as I'm currently using two makeup bags to hold it all! Everything I've kept have been things that I use daily or use too often to throw out and it all fits into one bag! I suggest you take a look through your own makeup and see what you could throw away and be replaced with something cruelty free.

Thanks for reading and you can check out cruelty free brands HERE.
