February Favourites 2019
I wasn't going to do a favourites post...and I realise that we are now half way through March...heyho - I've mentioned a few times how I would hate myself if I ever let my blog become a carbon copy of everyone else's. I want to keep it as honest and me as I can.
With that said, I do have some things I have loved this month and I'd really like to share them as I think some of them maybe an interest to you. (and I secretly really love monthly favourites).
First up is Simply Bare Organic Foot Balm, I never thought I'd somewhat like my feet but using this makes them feel so soft and smooth (sorry if you don't like thinking of feet). It's pretty much says what it is on the tin, a balm or a very thick butter that melts into the skin. It is filled with oils including tea tree oil, lavender oil and peppermint oil which makes it smell amazing and makes you feel calm and relaxed. It also has aloe vera butter (which is proven to help with acne) and shea butter which makes your skin oh so super soft. Another plus is that it is vegan and made in the UK.
I found this on Amazon and I think this is an independent brand but if anyone has seen this in shops please let me know.
I love this (obviously or it wouldn't be in my favourites). I apply this to my face every night and It has helped my skin so much from coming out in break out and repairing damages (as mentioned before, aloe vera helps with acne). Its also very soothing as its a very thick and cold gel which soaks into the skin kind of like hand sanitizer. Again I bought this from Amazon but I believe you can get this in high-street cosmetic shops. It is also vegan and cruelty free.
I didn't love the body shop lippy (Mauritus Dahlia 017 | Matte Lip Liquid) when I first got it, the applicator adds way too much and doesn't go on easily. As you can see by my swatches that the first line is very thick on the sides. The brush I use with it is perfect (middle swatch)! It's from Bella Bare. It adds the lippy evenly and you can build up the colour, keeping it as a berry red or building it up to a very dark blood red. Also it is a great brush for on the go as you can pop the lid on and keep it in your pocket or purse without worry.
This spray is great because of it can be used as a body mist, room and linen spritz. I used it in my bedroom when I have changed my sheets or tidied/ cleaned it. Its floraly but very freshening and gives a sense of wellness. Obviously from the body shop (seems to be the only place I shop other than Amazon), so it is cruelty free.
I didn't realise until I bought these that I'd actually think of my hands as a nice part of my body. I like stacking these with other simple yet more detailed rings. Simple but make me and my hands feel and look pretty.
